




Incandescent images often perplexing, yet always intruiging
Mike O'Neill was born in Liverpool where he attended Bootle College of Art in Liverpool from 1969 - 1972, studying Art & Design and Display & Exhibition Design. Since then Mike has worked full time as a Display Artist, for several department stores and 19 years for Chanel Perfume & Cosmetics.
He has had several solo exhibitions of his paintings including ' The Somnambulists Menu' at The Lunchclub Cafe' in Bristol and a solo exhibition at Oldway Hall, Torquay, as part of the Torquay International Art Festival.. In 2002, Mike had 2 of his paintings included at 'Instinct' a visionary & raw art exhibition at the Beluga Bar/Restaurant in Edinburgh.
Other exhibitions of his work have been in the Forest of Dean area where he lives and works, including Forest Open Studio Events and 'The Power Of 3' exhibition with other artists Ian Gorton and Ian Claridge,

Mike has designed and directed a number of multi media events working with other musicians, dancers and film makers to produce' Faint Frontiers' for Windows Art Centre in Bath and 'Therapy Via Telepathy' for Pop God Records at Trinity Hall in Bristol.
He also composed the electronic music for 'Flee' a dance work by Edwin Lung, Choreographer which premiered at The Place, Charing Cross, London in April 1996.
Ian Claridge, Poet & Artist had said Mikes painting and artwork ''powerfully explored the nature of the psyche in subconsious dreamscapes and expressionistic abstracts''
